Chris Fisher (b. 1979, Golden, Colorado) graduated with a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001. He is an MFA candidate in painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA. Fisher worked in corporate sales and spent the majority of those years in the commercial real estate industry working as a sales and leasing broker.
Fisher’s art work focuses on process, chance, and performance. His work emphasizes the absurd - the absurdity of the art world. The absurdity of what sells and what doesn’t. The absurdity of how art is created and what is deemed as art. Fisher’s works have been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in Colorado and Georgia. Currently, he owns an incubation gallery for emerging experimental artists in Savannah, Georgia. His upcoming solo show will be in the winter of 2020.
